Here are some things to consider in ensuring that your customer is enabled and prepared for the delivery of an Essential Move device to their premises:

  1. Lite & Plus: Powerpoint access – ensure that the base cable (1.8 metres) can reach mains power and will be people-traffic free.
  2. Lite & Plus: Essential Move requires little counter space and is compact and lightweight, making it easy to handle whilst processing transactions.
  3. Lite: Is Optus coverage strong within the premises? A Telstra SIM option is available if required. Or they may wish to use the IP broadband via Ethernet connectivity, in which case they need to have internet access on site and they’ll need to confirm whether it will be Dynamic or Static IP set-up.
  4. Plus: The POS must be PC EFTPOS accredited (visit https://pceftpos.com/accredited-companies/ for more information) and the customer can choose between serial or USB cable connection.
  5. Lite options: Ensure additional options are covered and enabled if applicable, including MOTO, Tipping, Pre–Auth and Multi Merchant*.
  6. Plus options: Ensure additional options are covered and enabled if applicable, including MOTO, Tipping, Pay@table and display logo on screen*.

*As we continue to build on the features of Essential Move, additional options will become available in due course.
