Members bar
Most members flock to the bar at half time where there can be hundreds of customers at any one time; checking their phones, catching up and enjoying a drink. As the members bar is located in the concrete grandstand, the 4G/3G signal can be unreliable at times, so Jack doesn’t like to rely wholly on the 4G/3G signal reception.
Essential Plus has been recommended as the ideal solution for the members bar as it can be integrated with a Linkly accredited POS. It offers flexibility for integration with the POS via the use of either a serial cable or USB cable.
Yes correct.
The primary communication method for the Essential Plus is Broadband Internet, which is supplied by the POS (i.e. the POS is connected to an internet source). A stable Broadband internet connection is more reliable than 4G/3G signal reception in an indoors setting. However, in the event the POS does lose Broadband Internet connection, the terminal will fall back to its internal modem which has a 4G/3G SIM installed. Please note, the Linkly client on the POS will need to be configured to utilise the device’s 4G/3G fall back capability in the event the Broadband internet is disconnected.
